Three ceramic sherds. Reddish beige in color. All three sherds are body sherds and show evidence of fabric impression. Hawkins Fabric style.
All three sherds show impressions by open twined fabric. The warp elements (those the run up and down) exhibit a clear S-twist orientation and are 2 ply cordage. The weft elements (those the run right to left around the warps) are twined in an S-slant pattern. "S" twist or slant means that the element moves from upper left to lower right as it moves around the other element with which it is interacting. Upon first glace, the sherds demonstrate a "Z" twist or slant (moving from the upper right to the lower left) but as the sherd retains an impression of the fabric, the original would have had the opposite twist.
Part of a ceramic type collection.
