Scope & Content |
These 1500 photographs were taken during a 1944 survey in the Yukon carried out collaboratively by the Robert S. Peabody Foundation for Archaeology, Harvard University, the Arnold Arboretum, and the Geological Society of America. Individual participants were Frederick Johnson (Robert S. Peabody Foundation for Archaeology), Hugh M. Raup (Arnold Arboretum), John Sticht (Harvard University), Stuart K. Harris (Boston University), Karl and David Raup. The photographs are affixed to thin boards, with captions, and were taken by Fred Johnson, Hugh Raup and John Stricht. There is an index for these photographs, part of the larger index for the foundation's site photography. The corresponding 35mm negatives for these photographs are stored and described separately, as they are also part of the larger site photography collection. |
