One hemishperical woman's cap with three design regions: top, middle, rim. Main middle section has large alternating light/dark large parallelograms with serrated sides. Twined with conifer root weft with an overlay of bear grass, the black is maidenhair fern. The warps are hazel with red dyed woodwardia fern. Northern California, Yurok, Karuk, Hupa, Tolowa or Whilkut. |
