Description |
One silver, spoon-shaped tupu with scrollwork on either side of the shaft and an engraving of a bird. The ornate style of these pins originated in the Cusco region during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The function and shape resemble tupus worn by women from Pre-Inca times. This example reflects European-inspired Baroque. |
